New laser cutting system at Interfer

The new laser cutting unit at the Dortmund
site was commissioned on 5 January 2009. With a rated power of 5 KW
and a cutting speed of more than 3,000 mm/min, it can rapidly produce
cut sheets in all grades with thicknesses up to 20 mm. The working
width of 3,000 mm and working length of 25,000 mm also make it possible
to accommodate large formats. With an inkjet labelling system for
marking parts and a swivel head for manufacturing Y and V chamfers
up to 45° with a positioning accuracy of up to +/- 0.1 mm, this
new unit is the perfect addition to our now completely modernised
line of processing equipment.
