The new high-performance cut-to-length line was officially started up in a small ceremony on 24 June. In the presence of the mayor of the city of Barsinghausen, Mr. Zieseniss, the equipment was symbolically started up by KNAUF INTERFER Management Board chairman Mr. Müller-Frerich. The operational start-up of the line represents the culmination of an ambitious investment programme which began with the approval procedure in September 2007. In addition to the new cut-to-length line, a new office building was also constructed, an existing hall was extended by 170 m and various handling zones were created. Delta-Stahl is now completely prepared to meet the growing demands in the field of thin sheets, ensuring its future as a reliable partner for all groups of customers.
